Amazing places on Earth from Google Earth....

Well,most of us have Google Earth software on our computers even though we may not be using it on regular basis.Atleast thats the case with me.Yesterday I read an article on PCWorld which told about a lot of strange places on Earth which can be easily seen on the Google Earth portal.There were some 16 such photos which amaze you.
1.The first one is about a shape of a man on the hills which seems as if he is wearing ear-phones.Here's the pic:



It is called the Badlands Guardian.
Google Co-ordinates are:(50.010083,-110.113006)

Very near to this place you can find the head of another human with the placemark tag "Face in the Hills(50.003019,-110.093612)

2.The another entry is about a giant pink bunny in Prato Nevoso,Italy.It was bult by artists from Vienna and is about 200 feet long.

3.This shows the Crop Circles just outside Beatty Nevada.Well, there are numerous crop circle in this desert and you can easily find a lot of placemarks at this place.But I found this to be the best of them all.(Anyway,do you think it's the work of Aliens???)

4.This is on a 10 acre land made by an Arizona Farmer,for Oprah Winfrey's Celebrity.I wonder really rhose Oprah things are so absorbing?

5.Now this one is a real refresher:Bondi Beach of Australia.One of the more high resolution pics on Google Earth.Well,the article promised that zooming it to the last detail may show even the labels on the bikinis...but unfortunately I couldn't find that till now.See if you can...

Pan's Labyrinth

This afternoon I was not willing to continue my work on Asp.Net and rather thought of watching this movie:Pan's Labyrinth.I got this from the external hard drive of one of my friends.So,the whole name read like this:Pan's Labyrinth(IMDB rank 47).It was like putting the advertisement along with the product!!!Anyway that worked and out of 13 movies currently on my lappy I decided to finish this one.
The story started as guessed in a fairytale like atmosphere telling about a princess who wanted a beautiful world (world for humans) long long years ago.She escapes from her domain of heaven to see the real beauty of the earth.On earth she is inflicted by diseases,cold etc and she dies.The king ,hearing the loss of her daughter pledges that he will wait for her to return and as it was a movie she returns ... in the era of Hitler!The film takes you to the time of German invasion of Spain.The story is beautifully balanced between an out and out violent movie(a lot of blood shed and in a very abhorring manner...a scene where the german captain kills an innocent strinking the bottom of a wine bottle onto his nose at a stretch till it breaks and the bone churns down...is really thows a chill in spine) and a fairytale woven around the cute little Ofelia who was the dead princess.The two different kinds of story move together and both keep you deeply involved.The film scores on all areas:storyline,visual effects,performances etc.One particular scene that I liked a lot is when Ofelia's mother, who was expecting a child, falls terribly sick and the german captain Vidal who was her husband(2nd one) asks the doctor that if he has to choose between the mother and his "Son" save the child.Ofelia was under the bed at that time and hearing this,she gets very terrified.After the captain left the room she puts her head on her mother's belly(who was sedated that time) and talks to her brother:
Brother!
Little Brother!
If you can hear me...things out here aren't too good.But soon you'll have to come out
You have made mama very sick.I want to ask you one favor..when you come out.Just one.Don't hurt her.You'll meet her.She is very preety.Even though she is sad for days at a time,You'll see when she smiles you'll love her.

Captain Vidal,Mercedes and the doctor are few of the characters whom you ll appreciate besides Ofelia.Obviously Vidal for his negative and cruel character which he played really well.SO this is a movie with fairies and bandits both at the same time.The movie is really good.What's more it has got 96% Freshness on Rotten Tomatoes Critics Tomatometer

The Sounds In My Head!

See Its happening again...the sounds in my head are disturbing me more than the outside sounds.Well its been a problem with me for long....I think I m hyper-active!Never heard of this?Well I coined it myself right now.But I think this should be a valid term.Well my meaning of Hyper-Active is a kind of guy who wants to do and achieve a lot in almost impossibly short time.So,somewhere he gets lost everytime he starts and is left with only foggy paths ahead of him.Sounds negative....make it a bit neutral term....he is confident and hard-working to achieve them all but instead of taking each - one at a time he heads in all directions...so he is just kinda INDECISIVE!Well thats what my Aks calls me.Aks!You have heard about her in my profile.Never mind.
So,this Indecisiveness is the reason of Non-Stop Hip-Hop inside my brain.I really want to achieve a lot and I am afraid that I have no time in hand.Well right now I m working on VB.NET,ASP.NET and I want to enhance them to AJAX and JavaScript.Since I m doing it all by myself I have just Ebooks and Online Help to rely upon.I kno thats a lot actually but also a (Lame) excuse of myself getting lost all the time.Added to this I have started developing the website I mentioned in my previous blog.Not only this, I have also signed up to a few forums on (mainly) technical discussions since they are really good and attracted my attention instantly.So eventually I am struck with my poor lappy and my bed for last few weeks or so.No doubt I m learning a lot but at the cost of my sleep.I havnt slept the whole night today and still not feeling like sleeping.Rather that sound in the head telling me what to do next,how to strategize things etc is not letting my being to go into a "Hibernate" state.
Anyway, if I am not sleeping then let me work till I fall down(on my cutie bed to sleep!) on my own.May be that may reduce "The Sounds In My Head!"

Going low on Disk Space...?Get GMail driver.

Hi Friends!
Just wanted to tell u about a new free utility called Gmail driver which uses your gmail space to store your stuffs.Whats new?Well this drive acts as a virtual drive and u can see it along with your other drives on My Computer window.
Other "Feel Good" things about this driver are:
1.You can assign your "automatic login" option to avoid the hassel of relogin(ing).
2.Unlike mail attachments you can drag and drop your stuffs right from your Explorer window to the interface window of your Gamil drive.
3.Even Folder dragging is allowed and how is it good, can be understood only if u hav experience of attaching your files to the mails.
4.Anyway since it uses your Gmail account to store your stuffs the maximum size of an attachment can be only 20MB.(Ok thats not a very Feel Good thing!)
5.You can use multiple Gmail accounts and yet can see all your attachments together.
6.You can download from the Gmail drive to your hard disks by clicking on the icon.Well I think if they can just make it a little better so that you can atleast view the thumbnails of your image files or better if you can just see your videos,images etc directly from the drive instead of downloading them.Hope they come up with such improvements in their next versions.
And above all this software is free.

Standing on the verge of a year which started with no joys for me and there were reasons too...and then with time the year became one of the most exuberant years of my life and again there were reasons.Anyway... this year will soon fall into the category of all previous years ...Yeah it will be One Of The Passed Years as well.
OKay see I m really confused about what to post in my first blog but as I m really interested to maintain one such blog of mine too ...a real serious blog with a substance!So who ever has made a mistake to bump into my post has got to tell me something about Substantial Blogging!
